Urban route visiting the "Indianos" houses
The importance of the Indianos can still be seen in their buildings.

These houses were built in the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries by A Guarda emigrants to Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Brazil. A significant number of homes are preserved throughout the municipality, although those located in the old town and in Puerto Rico and Galicia streets stand out.

Indianos homes are characterized by the use of stonework, ceramic tiles and wrought iron. They are striking houses that adopted the structures typical of the American country, which gives them their own personality. Some were residential in nature, such as villas, and others were dedicated to business or social purposes.
