Square "do Reló"

This square was outside the walled area with access to the upper area in the direction of the Church of Santa María or the Castle of Santa Cruz.
At the entrance to the medieval town, this square was built under the name Plaza Mayor until the 17th century. XVI, when the first clock was installed, although it officially received other names depending on the political situation: the Constitution or the Republic. In this square, weekly markets were held and meetings and celebrations took place. The most significant buildings are the old Town Hall, the Clock Tower and the Casa dos Alonso.
