The fishing village that grew up around the fishing port. It retains its character with its narrow and colourful facades of the houses of the sailors.

This walk links the port street with the north dock in a pleasant vehicle-free route.

The promenade runs through the interior of the port without losing sight of the boats and runs parallel to the first line of fishing houses and Malteses Street.It was built at the end of the 90s on the rocks of the sea and has gardens and recreational areas. At the end of this walk there is a sports area with a skate park, the Sea Museum and the north dock.

South dock and fish market

A Guarda still preserves inshore fishing and on the southern dock or pier you can find the fish market, the boats and the sailors in their daily lives.

Warehouse of the Redeiras

In this shed, women continue with an essential profession for fishing, such as making and repairing nets.
