This work by Magín Picallo in 2004 occupies a garden area in the middle of the promenade. The sculpture is oriented towards the entrance to the port and represents the sailor's wife waiting for his return. The harshness of the sea in A Guarda stole many lives and this sculpture is a tribute to the loneliness and uncertainty of the sailor's wife who turns into pain and despair when she loses her loved one in the sea represented already deceased at her feet.
South dock and fish market
